Detroit Pistons vs. New York Knicks Prediction & Picks for Today, 11/30
The Pistons could see some trouble tonight, especially on the road for the second night of a back-to-back. Their 133-107 loss to the Lakers yesterday made it their third consecutive loss by at least 19 points, and we already mentioned how many they’ve currently lost in a row altogether.
As for New York, everything appears to be clicking for them following a 115-91 victory their last time out. Aiding our case in this one, the Knicks have come out victorious by at least 14 points in five of their last six against teams with a sub-.500 record. There’s no reason to think they can’t continue that trend tonight.
It’s been on the defensive end of the court where the Knicks have really shined, holding a defensive rating of fourth in the league. In fact, half of their last six opponents haven’t even broken the 100-point barrier. This is troubling for the Pistons, who rank 27th in the NBA in offensive rating so far this season.
The transition scoring numbers are also something to keep in mind. Detroit is 20th in opponent second chance points per game, while New York is 12th in that same category from an offensive perspective. Against a fatigued opponent with no momentum, we’ll gladly take NY -13.5 (-110 at FanDuel) in our Pistons vs. Knicks prediction.
Pistons vs. Knicks Player Prop Bets for 11/30 Focusing on Immanuel Quickley & Julius Randle
Of all the available Pistons vs. Knicks player props, the first one we want to touch on highlights Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley. He’s having the best season of his young career from a scoring standpoint, averaging a shade over 16 points per game. With that being said, he should be able to come out firing against a poor Detroit defense tonight.
He’s scored at least 16 points in eight of his 13 games played in the month of November, including three straight. That’s all he would need in tonight’s game, so we’ll take Quickley to finish with over 15.5 points (-111 at FanDuel).
Elsewhere, we’ll stay with New York, but target their star big man Julius Randle. Instead of selecting a typical market for him, like points or rebounds, we’re actually interested in his assist total. At 5.2 per game, it marks his second-highest per-game average of his career in that category.
In 13 November games, Randle has five or more assists in nine of them. He even had a stretch of doing so in six consecutive games at one point. He had five his last time out, and we think he’ll easily reach that number in this one. This makes the last of our Pistons vs. Knicks player props side with Randle over 4.5 assists (-140 at FanDuel).
